The next edition of the Imaginales festival will take place from the 23rd to the 26th of May 2024 in the Parc du Cours of the city of Epinal. And the Ylsthia stand will return for what is now the eighth time.

As always, all the albums of Iridaes and Unsettling Edifice will be available (for sale and signing), in CD and USB flash drive format. It will be possible to listen to them at will, thanks to the touch tablets and headphones (systematically cleaned).

The next edition of the Imaginales festival will take place from the 25th to the 28th of May 2023, in Epinal’s Parc du Cours. And, as you will have guessed, Ylsthia will have the pleasure of bringing back its stand.

All of Iridaes’ and Unsettling Edifice’s albums will be available (for purchase and signing), as CDs or USB flash drives. Regarding those, it will be the first time that they are available at the Imaginales in their “Mini-box” form (also decorated by hand), for those who wish to purchase the flash drive alone.

In that case, the visuals of the chosen albums will be included on the drive itself, as PDF files. Naturally, the big boxes and pouches will also be available for whoever wishes to have the visuals in the form of cards and booklets.

You should also know that Iridaes is currently working on a new album, which he hopes to be able to present to you by the end of May.

As always, the touch-tablets and headphones (systematically cleaned) will be there so you can take the time to discover each album.

As is now custom during the weeks before Christmas, the Ylsthia stand will be back in Saint-Prix on the 3rd and 4th of December 2022, for the “Saveurs et Créations” fair, in the Christian Dufresne sports center (29 rue Pasteur).

Opening times will be 10h to 19h on Saturday, and 10h to 18h on Sunday.

What will be new, however, is that Ylsthia will bring its stand to Antony the next weekend, on the 10th and 11^th of December, at the Espace Vasarely (Pl. des Anciens Combattants d'Afrique du N.), for the annual Christmas fair, “Salon des Créateurs de Noël”.

Opening times will be 10h30 to 18h30 on both days.

Two new opportunities to come discover (or continue discovering) the works of Iridaes and Unsettling Edifrice. These will be available as CDs or USB flash drives (loaded on the spot with the albums of your choice).

As always, the touch-tablets and headphones will allow you to listen to your heart’s content, and signings will of course be possible.

As it exceptionally took place in the streets of Epinal, the 2021 edition of the Imaginales allowed us to appreciate the city in a different way. And it really was a nice experience. But the Parc du Cours has its charm, and the festival has a way of turning it into this big village dedicated to the wonders of the imagination. It will definitely be a pleasure to experience this again.

For the sixth time in a row, the Ylsthia stand will be back, and there will be no shortage of new items. Starting with “Belranthys”, Iridaes’ latest album. A most engaging work, with its 28 page booklet (featuring a new short story written and illustrated by Iridaes) and elegant metallic box. And what of the lovely orchestral and futuristic music ?  It will be available on CD, right ?  Well, from now on… that will depend on what you prefer. Indeed, you will now be able to choose a USB flash drive instead !

Yes, this is the other new thing from Ylsthia. And it will not be limited to “Belranthys”. For that one album, the USB version will have the same packaging, since the box is big enough. For all the other albums, it will be possible to purchase another kind of box (painted and decorated by Iridaes himself) containing a USB flash drive you can load with as many of the label’s albums as you wish. Furthermore, each of these albums can be accompanied by a large card reproducing the visuals of the corresponding CD.

For those who do not wish to bother with physical media, it will still be possible to download. But if you do not own a CD player and still want to purchase a nice tangible materialization of a musical work, the solution is here !

Online, to make things simpler, it will be possible to order the box along with a blank flash drive, on which the albums you have downloaded can then be loaded. On the Ylsthia stand, however, it will be possible for the flash drive to be loaded on the spot with any album you choose. And the corresponding cards and booklets will be included.

And aside from that, what will NOT be different from last year ?  Well, the listening devices will, as always, be present (tablets and headphones systematically cleaned after each use) in order to discover the different albums. Speaking of which, they will of course be signed if you so desire. The exact location of the stand will only be known on the first day of the Imaginales, but it will be specified as soon as possible on the Ylsthia Twitter account, as well as on the home page of this very website.

After Epinal for the Imaginales festival, Ylsthia will have the pleasure of returning to Saint-Prix for the “Saveurs et Créations” fair. This event will take place on Saturday 4^th of December (from 10 AM to 7 PM) and Sunday 5^th of December (from 10 AM to 6 PM) at the Christian Dufresne sports complex (street : 29 rue Pasteur).

As was the case at the Imaginales festival, the stand’s layout will put more space between the headphones and touch tablets (systematically cleaned after every use), so that everyone may safely listen to the albums of Iridaes and Unsettling Edifice. As always, it will be possible for these albums to be signed.

It is best to remain cautious regarding the evolution of covid-19, but public activities and events have been picking up over here in France. The organization of the Imaginales is therefore well underway, and the 2021 edition is planned from the 14^th to the 17^th of October. And it is official, Ylsthia will once again have its stand there, making this its fifth participation in the famous festival.

Along with the change in month, the other major difference will be that instead of being held in the Parc Du Cours, this edition will take place in the city center of Epinal.

As far as the Ylsthia stand itself is concerned, the main change will affect the listening terminals (shown here in a former configuration) which, this time around, will be much farther apart, in order to comply with safety distances. The same applies to the two pairs of headphones that accompany each tablet. They will be sufficiently apart, so that two people may listen simultaneously while remaining three feet away from one another. It goes without saying that these tablets and headphones will be thoroughly cleaned after each use.

As far as music is concerned, new things will of course be premiered. There will be more information on this in the forthcoming months.

Happy New Year, plenty of hope and courage to all for 2021.

It was quite obvious that the first lockdown would lead to many projects and events being postponed or cancelled, but summertime seemed to make way for a more promising period. Unfortunately, the regain in activity quickly ground back to a halt with the approach of Covid-19’s second wave. Cancellations actually started multiplying again, even before the second lockdown was confirmed over here in France.

As a result, Ylsthia did not get to run any stands at all during 2020. Add to that a multitude of other unexpected preoccupations, and you get a grueling year that strongly interfered with the album releases that initially should have taken place.

But did this mean that nothing would be released in 2020 ?  Absolutely not !  All the while working on his sixth album, Iridaes also recorded a few independent tracks, and a couple of them have just been released on an EP by the title “Perseverance”. Hello to All,

With all the current precautions destined to hinder the spread of Covid 19, it was to be feared that the 2020 edition of the Imaginales festival might be cancelled. And it turns out that such is finally the case. Sad news, but a wise decision given the current events.

However, regarding album releases at Ylsthia, not much will change.

On Iridaes’ side, a new work is in progress, and its creation is coming along fine, not only in terms of recording, but also writing and illustrating. For indeed, it will be a new concept album.

As for Unsettling Edifice’s activities, they are shifting back into gear with no less than two albums currently taking shape : a collection of previously unreleased tracks, and a collection of live tracks.

Since Ylsthia won’t be running a stand this May, it is possible that more time will be devoted to perfecting each one of the aforementioned projects. All will nevertheless be done to make sure that they are released sometime in 2020.

Just two months after the Imaginales festival, the Ylsthia stand will return to the Vosges region. Indeed, from the 19^th to the 21^st of July, the town of Saint-Dié-Des-Vosges will host the fourth edition of the Déod’Art, a festival dedicated to all forms of artistic creation.

This event will take place at the Espace François Mitterrand. Opening times will be as follow :

-          Friday 19^th of July :   2 PM to 7 PM

-          Saturday 20^th of July :   10 AM to 8 PM

-          Sunday 21^st of July :   10 AM to 6 PM

This will be a new opportunity to discover the music of Iridaes and Unsettling Edifice (with the listening devices shown on the right), buy their CDs, and… have them signed !

From the 17^th to the 19^th of May, the Ylsthia stand will return to Puteaux for a new arts and crafts fair. Same principle as last Christmas, except this edition won’t take place inside City Hall, but on the esplanade in front of it. A great number (and wide variety) of exhibitors will be there, and numerous workshops will be available.

The fashion shows (presenting all sorts of different creations, not just clothes) will also be back on Saturday and Sunday, between 4 PM and 5 PM (on a stage set up for that purpose), and Iridaes will be included, since he will conclude Saturday’s show and… play during all of Sunday’s !  Add to this the fact that various tracks by Iridaes will be added to the playlist that will be broadcast during the fair.

Furthermore, the band HiKaloo will play a concert on the stage, Saturday between 6 PM and 7 PM and, along with the arts and crafts fair, Puteaux will also be hosting its annual comic book fair at the Palais de la Médiathèque on the 18^th and 19^th of May. As you can see, there will be plenty to do during the entire weekend.

As far as the Ylsthia stand is concerned, all of Iridaes’ and Unsettling Edifice’s CDs will – as always – be available for purchase and signing, and the listening devices (presented in their brand new structure) will allow you to discover any album you choose.

Opening times for the fair will be as follow :

From the 23rd to the 26th of May 2019, the Parc du Cours in Epinal will once again host the famous Imaginales festival, and the Ylsthia stand will once again be present. This fourth participation will, however, be marked by a certain number of changes.

The exact layout of the stand is still being designed, but it can already be confirmed that the big tables of yesteryear will leave way for a more open display.

The listening devices (touch tablets and headphones) will - as always - return, but in a very different form (which was inaugurated a few days ago in Cocherel – see picture on the right). The CDs of Iridaes and Unsettling Edifice will of course be presented, but in a more inventive and informative manner. The albums will naturally be available for signing as they always are.

Another big change will be the addition of small musical performances throughout the festival’s four day run. This was first tried out last December in Puteaux (see picture on the right), but in Epinal it will benefit from a fuller sound system.

As far as the stand’s exact location within the Parc du Cours is concerned, this information will – as every other year – be announced on the first day of the Imaginales, on Ylsthia’s Twitter account.

After Christmas 2018, Ylsthia carried on searching for various markets and fairs, and it is in Cocherel (in the Seine-et-Marne region) that the stand will appear next. An arts and crafts market is indeed being held there on the 16^th and 17^th of March 2019, in the village hall (also known as Grange Bellevue and situated in the Rue de Chaton street).

The touch tablets and headphones will of course be there to allow any album to be selected and listened to, and all Iridaes and Unsettling Edifice CDs will be available for signing.

Opening times will be as follows :

-          Saturday 16^th of March 2019 :   9 AM to 9 PM

Ylsthia will once again have a stand, this time at the arts and crafts market (Marché d’Art et d’Artisanat) in Saint-Prix (in the Val d’Oise region), on Saturday the 24^th and Sunday the 25^th of November 2018.

This event will take place indoors, at the Christian Dufresne sports complex (situated in the “rue Pasteur” street). Opening times will be from 10 AM to 7 PM on Saturday, and 10 AM to 6 PM on Sunday.

This will be Iridaes’ fourth album, but his first true concept album. “Ebsythria” encompasses seventy minutes of melodious, immersive and futuristic music, accompanied by a lovely booklet (21 x 15 cm closed, 21 x 59,6 cm open) featuring a short science-fiction story Iridaes wrote and illustrated. The CD and booklet will furthermore be contained in a nice pouch, painted and assembled by Iridaes himself.

This physical version of the album will be unveiled at the Imaginales festival (from May 24^th to 27^th, 2018 – see the article below) where it will be exclusively available. It will then be sold on BandCamp towards the beginning of June.

“Ebsythria” will also be available for download, with the content of the booklet included as a series of files.

With everything there was to prepare right before the Imaginales festival, it became momentarily difficult to keep the Ylsthia website up to date. But “Passage”, Iridaes’ third album, has indeed been released (specifically on the 16^th of May 2017), as indicated by its inclusion in the catalog section.

It is nevertheless interesting to confirm this a few days later, as it allows a glimpse at the album’s first sales. And to sum it up, they are encouraging. “Passage” is indeed the Iridaes CD that sold the most at the Ylsthia stand, during the Imaginales.

Having a stand at the 2016 edition of the Imaginales festival was a highly enjoyable experience. It was therefore obvious that Ylsthia was going to sign up for the following year. And the good news has just been confirmed, Ylsthia will once again have a stand at the Imaginales festival, from May 18^th to May 21^st.

CDs of Iridaes and Unsettling Edifice will be available for purchase. And it will, of course, be possible for them to be signed. The listening devices (tablets & headphones) will once again be available, allowing anyone to discover the albums of their choice.

As always, the festival will mainly take place in the Parc du Cours of Epinal. The exact location of the Ylsthia stand will be confirmed on May 18^th.

Unsettling Edifice will give a live performance at 3.40 PM, this Saturday 6th of August, during a new Placard headphone festival, which will take place on the boat Le Martin-Pêcheur, from noon to 9 PM.

The boat will leave from 13 quai de Loire in Paris, and will navigate up and down a portion of the Canal de l'Ourcq. There will therefore be two other stops in Pantin and in Aubervilliers.

Also know that Unsettling Edifice will have a few CDs of his two first albums with him.

Iridaes has finally published the account of his stay at the 2016 Imaginales festival.
